Please read on for a few tidbits of info that describe the follow-up interview:

Back in August 2014 I was a guest on David Linneweh's 'Studio Break' podcast, and as a fellow podcaster I was excited, and a bit nervous, to be on the other side of studio questions. I actually did a lot of reflecting on my process and my personal history as an artist prior to that episode because I knew David's format pretty well at that point and wanted to look into my past, present, and heck, future of art-making. It was a great experience and I'm grateful for having been on the show.

Fast-forward 4 years. David reached out again to invite me back on Studio Break and I thought is was a good time to jump back into some studio questions with him. This time around I virtually dove right in with minimal pre-planning and thinking. This approach offered a more open and casual conversation, and I somehow kept my train of thought through the majority of the interview, nice ups for me, no?
Anyway, in the follow-up interview we talked about my new paintings and some of my previous experiences with my 'new since the last interview' collage work. Also in the conversation was the topic of my artist interview podcast 'Ahtcast.'
The timing was good, I have been doing a lot of painting in my studio, and I have also been at my desk working on my podcast as well.
So I invite you to head on over to Studio Break and catch up with what I've been doing lately! You can find the interview here: Studio Break interview with Phillip J. Mellen

Thanks for your interest and support!

And also a huge thank you to David Linneweh and Studio Break!
